©           Bishop Paup  – has sent us a e-mail copy of the College of Bishops Immigration Statement signed by the Bishops of the Western Jurisdiction.  The letter is posted on the back bulletin board.

©           Devotional Guides – New issues of “The Upper Room”, some in large print, are available in the foyer.  This offers daily meditations and readings and you are welcome to pick up a copy.  We also have “Alive Now” and “Pockets” for the younger set.

E-mail – Addresses are requested if you are interested in occasional messages and event reminders from the church.  Please note these on the “sign in” sheets.  Thanks!

Food Chain – Our service group for preparing and delivering meals to families during difficult times has had a wonderful sign up response.  There is a sheet on the back bulletin board if you wish to join, and please keep Marjorie or the church office  advised of anyone you know who might benefit from our food chain.

New Directory – Mark your calendar; photos will be taken October 28 & 29.  You will be receiving a phone call in the next few weeks to schedule your  appointment.

Crop Hunger Walk 2008 – Sunday October 12^th, 1:00pm, at Riverfront Park.  More info. available through Tracy Faulkner at First UMC.

UMW Meeting - October 14th at 1 PM. Director of the YWCA, Jenny Pratt, who will outline their programs for assisting women and adolescent youth.

Praying4America – October 4^th – November 4^th. A unique opportunity to be a part of a nationwide Christian effort to be in personal prayer for 30 days for our country, our leaders and our own decision  making with regard to the November 4^th elections.

UMW Soup Supper – Sunday Oct. 19^th, kick off for Thanksgiving food drive.
